Clinical Counselling

Support for staying present as life unfolds

A strengths-based, nervous-system-informed approach to clinical counselling

My approach to counselling is grounded in over fifteen years of experience working with trauma - and shaped just as much by what I’ve learned not to do.

I understand trauma, attachment, and the ways our nervous systems organize around survival. I also know that healing does not require us to live in the pain or endlessly revisit the past.

My work is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, parts-based exploration, and insights from psychedelic-assisted therapy. Rather than focusing on what is “wrong,” we orient from strength, curiosity, and self-leadership. The aim is not to overwhelm the system, but to build trust, coherence, and integration.

This is counselling that meets you where you are - not to fix you, but to support you in staying present with yourself as life unfolds.

I work best with people who are ready to:

  • approach their inner world with curiosity rather than urgency

  • feel emotions without becoming flooded by them

  • honor both depth and forward movement

  • trust that healing can include clarity, steadiness, and even ease

This is not intensive, early-stage trauma processing or crisis work. It is a grounded therapeutic space for people seeking support as they live - not after they are “healed.”

Counselling is offered within a regulated clinical framework and may be eligible for insurance reimbursement.

A strengths-based, nervous-system-informed counselling space for people who have already done meaningful inner work and are seeking therapeutic support while continuing to live their lives. This approach honors the natural rhythm of the nervous system, including expansion and contraction, and works with depth without overwhelming the system. Sessions may include parts-based and somatic approaches, supporting presence, integration, and steadiness as life unfolds.
